MY COLLEGE MISSION’S STEPS + Step 1. Training: We invite youth to attend the 2011 Evangelism Conference, where Fr. Peter Gillquist will train the youth on how to have one-on-one evangelism and Fr. John Rizkallah will show people how to arrange for “Jesus Awareness” events on their campuses. + Step 2. Find Willing Participants: Ask Coptic students in colleges across North America to participate in My College Mission starting in 2012 Spring semester, where the mission group will help with brochures, flyers, video, & instructions, and create a network to help. + Step 3. Get Started: Help students in starting a fellowship or changing the objectives of current fellowship. A discussion panel during the 2011 conference addresses all aspects of a fellowship meeting: how to start one on a campus, how to conduct a meeting, and how to make it attractive. + Step 4. Back to Basics: Introduce the faith as it was believed and practiced in the first church in the fellowship meetings, which will ultimately lead to Orthodoxy. + Step 5. Teach the Non-believers: Arrange for catechism classes for those who show interest in Orthodoxy. + Step 6. Baptism: Baptize those who are ready to join the church + Step 7. Nurture: Give the converts the opportunity to be active in the church and to make them feel at home. We are praying and asking others to pray fervently to make this dream a reality. As a matter of fact, we will arrange for a group to regularly pray for the mission.
