MY COLLEGE MISSION’S

Objectives

                                   By Victor Beshir

+First: Instill an evangelistic mind in the Coptic youth.

Currently, we arrange for spiritual meetings for Copts, and we preach to Copts only. We need to change this mindset to an evangelistic one where youth think of how to reach out to non-Copts, non-Orthodox, non-Christian, and non-believers.

If you visit a university now to attend a Coptic fellowship meeting, you will notice that all attendees are Copts, perhaps with one or two other Orthodox.

Thus, the first objective is to begin thinking of the salvation of others, those who have never seen the light of Christ, the non-Copts, and non-Christians.

+ Second: Change the approach to evangelize to others.

Nowadays, we talk to others about the glories of the Coptic Orthodox Church and the Orthodox Church. This has failed.

Thus, the second objective is to change to an approach that imitates the first church, the apostolic church. She spoke to people about the Lord Jesus Christ, His salvation, His resurrection, eternal life, and forgiveness of sins by His blood. People are thirsty to hear about a Savior, life, truth, and light.

+ Third: Lead people to the church.

The method is to talk to people about the Lord and His salvation, then lead them to the Church as living, active examples of His light.

"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15)
